Description

The Kordopulov House was built in 1754. It is the largest Renaissance house in Bulgaria and the Balkans. A house that combines rich architecture with an economic purpose. It was built on three floors. The ruins in front of the house are the family church of ‘Saint Barbara’. The house belonged to the famous Melnic Kordopulov family, who traded wine all over Europe, especially in Venice and Paris.
Produced by Shiroka Melnika Loza using traditional old technologies, the wine of the Melnic masters has a dense, dark ruby colour, a flavourful bouquet, intense extractivity, sweet acidity and a delicate aroma. It also has notes of cherry, blackcurrant, black pepper, tobacco and leather. It matures for 4 to 10 years. One of the greatest secrets of old Melniotiko wine is the production and fermentation method.
